About ThreatShield Pro
What this site is
ThreatShield Pro is a small online publication focused on one idea: the web should feel less stressful, especially for people who did not grow up with computers. We write plain-language guides for adult children, grandchildren and caregivers who want to help older or less tech-savvy relatives handle pop-ups, fake warnings and confusing online ads.
Our content is written by the ThreatShield Pro Editorial Team. We aim to keep things practical and calm: simple household habits, settings worth checking, and tools that may help as one layer of protection.
How we are funded
ThreatShield Pro is an advertorial publication. That means some of our pages, including our home page, are paid promotional content and contain affiliate links. When a reader follows one of these links and makes a purchase, we may receive a commission from the advertiser. This is how we cover the cost of running the site, and it does not cost readers anything extra.
We currently participate in an affiliate program for Total Adblock. We are not owned by, operated by or otherwise affiliated with Total Adblock or its parent company beyond that affiliate relationship. You can read more in our advertising disclosure.
Our approach
We try to avoid hype. We do not use fake alerts, countdown timers or invented reviews, and we do not claim any product can stop every threat. No software replaces up-to-date browsers, sensible habits and a trusted person to ask. When we mention a product, we describe it as one option among several.
The information on this site is general and educational. It is not professional IT, security, legal or financial advice. If you believe a device or account has been compromised, please contact a qualified local technician or your bank directly.
